Rental Cars: Not Just for Vacationers

Rental cars have become more and more popular because they are realizing that when it comes to rental cars, they don’t have to pay for car repairs. If the car breaks down all you have to do is call up the rental car company and they will bring you another car because they don’t want any bad publicity coming from you because they didn’t bring you a replacement car while you are on vacation. Just because you got a rental car while you are on vacation doesn’t mean that you can’t rent a car even if you are not on vacation.

There are people who rent a car week by week just so they can get back and forth to work. If you don’t have a car or if you are trying to save up for a car, this is a perfect way to start because you only have to pay a small price for having a car sitting in your driveway that you can use any time you want to.

Rental cars are really great for students that are attending college or are away from home for other purposes. If you have a loved one overseas on vacation or just traveling the world because they don’t know the meaning of sitting around and enjoying their retirement, rental cars can be a blessing in despise for them. This way they don’t have to rack up the miles on their own car but still see the countryside.

Finding Car Rentals in Luton

So you’ve flown into Luton, now what? Now it’s time to get your car. But where do you go? How do you actually get to the car rental agency? If you’ve tried to search for this information at the airport webpage, you know that it’s not there. We’re here to help.

There are two major car rental agencies located at the Luton International Airport. Here, you can find a lonely Practical Car & Van rental located at the south end of the airport. Great for budget travelers, but not so convenient. Much more convenient is the Vizvio Car Hire company, located at Percival and Proctor way. Of course, you do pay a bit more for this convenience, but there is something to be said about getting off our plane and renting a car right away.

If you’re willing to travel away from Luton International, there are several car rental agencies near the University of Bedfordshire. You can find an Avis Rent a Car, Thrifty Car Rental, and a Budget Rent a Car. Since these car rental agencies are so much farther away, they are quite a bit cheaper than their counterparts. These car rental companies feature cars from makers such as Fiat, Ford, and VW. Depending on stock and availability, you can also get high end rentals like Mercedes Benz.

If you plan to rent at one of the cheaper agencies, remember – you actually have to get to and from the car rental agencies. Depending on the length of your stay your cab fare might be more than the savings!
